Try this, close your eyes and imagine them not being able to open. Then, imagine trying to open them. Can you feel a bit what it would be like if they couldn't open? Really focus on that feeling. Play with that a bit.

It works the same, you don't have to touch their arm, you can distract them while they bow and say "what's that over there" and as they are breaking from the routine of bowing and begin to look, their mind switches modes and then you can tell them to sleep. I think. lol

this is what ive found is effective focus on the breath imagine lieing on a beach as the sun heats up a part of your body it becomes relaxed and heavy count backwards from 300 in your mind (say at one point when it counts its fine and when it doesnt count thats fine too) hope this helps :)

For everyone that wants to know what the NLP take is on this, look for the term "reframing". About this induction: It's okay, but I would have started much more with presuppositions, verbal pacing, etc. "As you're looking at your hand, you will notice everything around your focuspoint to get out of focus and you're eyes will work harder and you're eyes will get tired and want to close, but you will not close them until your fingers touch your face." But hey, he does the job I guess.

It depends on how deep they went. Because if you have a certain procedure that puts you in trance and you do it often, then it will become an anchor or trigger for you to drop down deeply. Now, as you can see, this chap probably didn't have this experience done, so because he had no reference at all, he dropped down deeply as Jamie proceeded to get him to sink deep into a trance and a chance for his unconscious to sort some things out. That makes sense, doesn't it? : )

I think we do through evolution such as fight or flieght mechanisms and such i just believe that these can be minipulated in which some cases they are. They have become so developed that we have such rapid responses for things. When we expect something and it happens the opposite then there is a rapid fireing in another direction which can cause sleight confusion until we integret the processes that are going on, we go through this from the time we are born.

I put this on my ipod so I could watch it when I went to bed. I watched it 2 times. Two minutes through the second time and I was out. (I didn't want to get up, though. I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning every day for school, and I usually end up sleeping on the bus because of the 1 hour bus ride and the fact that I go to bed at nine and can't fall asleep!) Totally agree with you. Another great person to listen to is Dr Lloyd Glauberman. Listen to his cds. They really make you sleep as well. Edge of Metaphors series, Peak Experiences. Wonderful and very very relaxing. Don't drive with this cd or cassette, you will fall asleep fast.

i couldn't concentrate because the voice was turning me on too much, i had to force myself to ignore it, but couldn't finish the video as i actually need to sleep. dude you are hot :) back to a female hypnotist. this is a second failed attempt to get relaxed with a male voice, i do enjoy it quite a bit, but in a different way , lol.
